Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

shismommie.....we are probably making the same trip....we are leaving from DE. I think just a little earlier in the day.

Comment by diannep on June 23, 2011 at 8:39pm: You all remember....there are 3 NEXES up there. If you don't need to go to the RTC one to pay for pictures, you may want to go to the one off-base. Bigger and maybe not so crowded. Very close to RTC. There is also one on the A School base...not sure about access to that one unless your sailor is going to A School there.

I don't drink but after that I may start....lol. We are going to do some exploring when we get there. I was told that you get a pass to shop at the NEX so we my do some souviner shopping in case she doesn't want to go there on Friday.

And i'm with you all also, if he isn't in the front row I would never reconize him. But I do enjoy looking at them.It brings a smile to my face just knowing someone is getting a glympse of their SR.
