Sandy- How mean! They pulled the "mom card" on the SR's!

Yikes!

Hi RDC's! We veterans are REALLY trying to do it right! ;-) Thanks for your dedication!

Yes, Sandy is correct.  Your sailor does need to be with you to get your gate pass at the airport from their airlines counter.  The gate pass is not a guaranteed thing and if you are there with a large group, they all may not get them....but they try to be accomodating.

Sandy, the charter jets, I believe, are at the public airports, but the sailors are bussed either right out on the tarmac to it, or they are held in a special place before boarding where there is no access to them by families (they would be leaving fairly quickly as well, I would imagine).

HOPEFULLY, I've gotten this right now.  My SR is in div 230.  So very excited to see him soon.  I have only talked to him 1 time but have received several letters.  He seems very happy and that makes me happy.

When should we stop writing to our SR's?  Not that I want that to happen.  If they get mail after PIR are they forwarded?

Lindee, don't worry too much about it.  If you want to delete your post click the little x at the top right of your post. I am not sure if there is a time limit or if you can delete your posts anytime. I think you can delete your post as long as there is that little x.
