Just got a phone call from my SR.  It was so good to hear his voice.  I didn't cry until we hung up.  He sounded so good and happy.

Ladies, I can't believe how fast time has gone by. It has been almost a year since my son joined the Navy. His PIR was 8/6/10.  PIR was wonderful. It was worth all the nail biting and worrying.

Hello diannep! Thank you for helping these ladies like you have helped me and hundreds of others.

Southern mom,

phone calls happen from your Recruit when you least expect them. We used to get ours in the afternoon or evening. Keep in mind that the RDCs use phone calls as an incentive for the entire divisions to work as a team.  I remember going 3 to 4 weeks without a letter or phone call. (and sometimes no news is good news)

Also, I read a post on RTC Facebook stating that there are a limited amount of phones so not to worry if you have not heard from your Recruit.

This is so very hard to understand but please know that no news is ALWAYS good news!  Mail is crazy....you will write every day and it might take over a week for your SR to get them.  Same for you as well you might get 7 letters in one day.  Mail is on Sunday for the most part!  Hand in there!  You can send your SR a phone card and stamps!!!  31 days left everyone!  Hang in there! ♥
