OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

Nancy... we are packing boxes to send to the Molly's adopt a Sailor unit. Check out the page on this site! Every month the navy moms that frequent that page adopt a different deployed Navy unit. We have adopted a ship, units in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Djibouti. This month we are sending packages representing each state! Check out the event page and see what the Washington Moms are bringing to the lunch to put in our boxes. You can pack your own box if you would like!

Most of all write letters or cards! At the start and end of every moment and day our sailors and servicemen and servicewomen are away the most treasured thing they can receive is a note from home! Don't wonder what to write... introduce yourself, tell about walking the dog, washing the car, pulling weeds, going to work or school. Those everyday things are what they miss and want to hear about! It brings them home for that moment and lets them know just how much we appreciate all their service and sacrifice!
