OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Just sent out St. Patricks day boxes to my son and a couple of his buddies from high school (one in navy and two in marine corps)... They were filled with all green items.... top hat, shamrock necklaces, granola bars, dental floss, toothbrush, whoopee cushions, gum, gummi worms, playing cards, small nerf football... packed into the small flat rate box... ship for $4.95!

The other note about A school is that guys and gals seem to be very resourceful... My son bought a tv and dvd player second hand from someone shipping out. When he left for another school six months later, he sold them.
My care packages are usually silly things... like to give them a chuckle! Lots of edible treats as those are easy to share and most appreciated. It is amazing what you can pack into those USPS boxes!

Headed out of work early due to snow... commute from Seattle to Redmond... Settle no snow... Redmond whiteout with three inches! Grew up here and don't ever remember snow in March! Ready for spring! My daffodils look silly poking up through the snow!

Hi Everybody: I know that this may be early - but our computer is a little cranky - we would appreciate prayers for our Brianna. She is 14 months old, and will have her cleft pallet surgery next Tuesday - the 10th. Thanks - my angel blessings ~~S {her Oma}
