Part of the reason we wear socks with our sandals is to hide the webbing between our toes... tehehehe Our wet weather is really suitable for ducks!

Hi Susan - welcome! Great name. Umm - there are some pictures a few pages back. I don't know about websites. Everyone here is AWESOME. There is also a Bangor/BremertonKitsap/ group for families. Check it out. What does your sailor do? I do know if you look up Polsbo and Seebold that there are some great photos there. Again, welcome - glad that you are here. ~s

Seems like there are a couple of WA Seabee moms... don't think their sailors are here though... you might check on the Seabee page... they might better link you to someone!

I've been away for a bit. Our Brianna is now 13 months old, and there is nothing in the world like a GRAND baby! GRAND they are in every way.
You are all so wonderful - just so you know I love all of you, and appreciate you all so much. I am in north eastern CA. When I have the chance to travel for my church lady work - people have the misconception that every body who lives in Ca has a beach in their back yard. I can count the number of times I've been to a CA beach (probaby on one hand). Our blessing from Mother Nature is Lake Tahoe.
We were w/o power for 40 hours. Getting rain and snow now. Had over a foot of snow yesterday. We are right on the edge of the snow line. We call it Sierra Cement - it can be very nasty. Not the light fluffy stuff - very heavy w/ice. Hard to manover in, etc. Work was w/o power on Friday. We worked till they closed the court house at 1 pm.
I appreciate the information about Wa/Or. It helps me greatly to understand how things are for our sailor and his family. The ferries are something else. I didn't realize how expensive it was. I'm so used to getting in the car and going - not realizing how far Seattle was from Bangor - the time it takes, etc.
For those o fyou planning on visiting your sailor - ask here - it helps tons. You can walk onto the ferry - and save money - - lots of GREAT ideas and help here.
You are all very helpful and gracious!. I tried when Adam first got to WA to look on the internet to learn more - but was not successful. Practical stuff and help is exactly what the folks on this site do.
I feel guilty because we live so far away and can not help with hospitality-so everytime the guilt comes, I say a prayer of thanks giving for those like Susan who are so AWESOME! Gods blessings and those of his angels to all of you.

Of course you could be living here in Northeast Ohio with me. Not only is it cold and grey - it's snowing again. By this time of the year snow becomes a dirty 4 letter word!!! I'm thinking of putting a contract out on the local weatherman!! I'm tired of what he keeps saying!!!! :)

Barbooch,
Thanks for the info - I will definately have Catherine check it out with her doctor. I thought all moms became doctors when we become mothers?!?!?!
just kidding!!
Susan,
Thank you so much for the wonderful offer. I'm definately going to pass that along to Catherine also. I think sometimes she needs a little "mothering" and to have some fun. I'll be in touch with you!!!
Marie,
ENJOY your time with your sailor!!!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!!!

Anna--- tell your daughter if she wants to get away from the base and have someone mother her to let us know! I would be happy to pick her and a friend up and take her to lunch or into Seattle for the day! We have been fortunate to host several sailors for a weekend or dinner over the last year or so. I only have boys and am happy to have a 'girl' fix!
