We have two inches and the snow is still falling here in Redmond... Weatherman promises it will turn to rain by midnight. Hope that means the roads will improve!

Tracy... My son would call with the emotional breakdown. All you can do is listen offer advice to eat and get some sleep. Then I would not hear from him until I would call. He would think I was nuts when I would ask how he was. "Fine, why?" would be the answer most times. Turns out he would call unburden and then be just fine! If the 'funk' sticks with him encourage him to talk it out with his chaplain. Knowing there is someone there to talk to can help a lot!

Happy New Year! I have been away for the last week. My sailor made it home on Christmas Eve through the snow. Silly us we planned a trip to Park City to see family and for skiing and to see the snow... little did we know we would have plenty of snow at home! I am happy to hear so much of the snow has melted away... Hoping Angie is dug out soon!

Hey Angeie! Thank you. I love the pictures and idea for the cards. I'm not very crafty any more (hurt my arms and wrists) - but I'll help. One of the reasons I love the Hallmark movie The Christmas Card is because it is of home. I think our sailor's would love cards from home. I love the pictures of all over.
Everyone has their own mind set of what things look like somewhere else, and your pictures are a great view of your world. Thank you!

OK... this is last Tuesday morning looking north and a little west towards Silverdale (and Bangor ~10 miles away) from my balcony two miles due north of the Stennis in Bremerton.
