For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Invis, what price did you get to fly into Milwaukee? I got $238 when I looked on Priceline.

Bella, I'm not sure the travel guard will work. I was looking at the one on Priceline and you'd probably want to call to see if it would apply.

Invis: I think FRontier, American and Delta were all listed at $177. Just depends on what plane you want to fly I suppose...lol.
Connie: Driving from Dayton isn't bad though. 6 hours plus your EZ-Pass will work.

BellaChella: Invisible is booking with Frontier. Maybe you can talk to her about it. She posted below about this. And, you are correct...do NOT get the refundable tickets--way too $$$...better to either go Southwest with no change fee....or get a good fare where a change fee would still be ok...or use something like the travel guard?? I had to change my tickets when my son was there. New flights were actually cheaper, so the $150 change fee was like it was $89.

Do you want to hear something funny, I looked into flying, it was going to be 277.00 from Dayton Inter. to Chicago ...the kicker is its only a 10 minute flight..lmbo so I guess I'm going to be driving Or should I say my Husband is ...I will be to excited.lol....Hey Diannep could you just picture all of the SR rolling around after the shot and someone came up and asked what they were doing and it would be my SR to say something like "spreading the peanut butter duh what dose it look like we are doing'..lol

lol oh heck with all of this flying just meet at my house in Ohio and we will all take a party bus to Great Lakes... Wouldn't that be fun..lol

I'm going 11/09 to 11/13 and I think I'm going Frontier from LGA to Milwaukee. How's that sound? It's cheaper too.

11/10 to 11/13 is $160 on Southwest round trip to Midway from LGA.
American flies for $177 round trip to O'Hare. For that little difference, I'm flying American.
