Southwest doesn't fly direct from NY to Milwaukee but they do to Midway. And it's cheaper. Since I'm from NY I'm used to horrible traffic but I don't know how it compares to Midway. Flying in around noon on Wednesday and leaving around noon on Sunday. I'm so confused!!!!!
As a resident of the Chicago 'burbs and to clarify on my previous post...
If you are flying in, here are your choices:
1. O'hare - closest and busiest. More flight options
2. Milwaukee - Less busy. Southwest fares
3. Midway - Use if you enjoy driving through hell and back.
If you are flying on Southwest, I would fly into Milwaukee over Midway. Midway is a nice airport but a real pain in the butt to get to. Plus you'll be flying in on a weekday so you have to contend with some of the worst traffic in the country...lol. Milwaukee is a straight shot right off 94 so it is easier to get in and out of.
O'Hare is convenient as well. Just depends on your airfare. But I would definitely avoid Midway!
Too funny, connie! So glad you got "the letter!"
And...the peanut butter shot...it's huge and the medicine very thick. They have to roll around on their hip for a while afterwards to disperse it. Makes them very sore. Very strong antibiotic, from what we know.
Midway is about an hour or more (depending on traffic) from GL. But if you got the best rate to fly into Midway, go for it! Usually Milwaukee is cheaper, in many cases. Ohare is the closest airport, but with traffic, it takes about the same amount of time to get to GL as it does from Milwaukee (little traffic).
Remember, everyone, we recommend that you all schedule your return flights on Sunday...just in case your SR has extra time with you. Especially since this is Veteran's Day weekend. Even if their plans are to fly out earlier, the Navy can change these. Just ask FTLW! Happened to her!
Hey Mom's My Husband went to get the mail today(which is not like him) he asked me if I could do 2 things for him, 1. Make a deposit and 2. To read this letter, which he held above his head, and as you can see in my pic I am only 4'9 and he is 6'0 I never thought I could jump so high...He just busted out laughing, HOW MEAN !! lol He finely handed it over! I was so glad to read that he was doing good, And that he has to clean the "Head" 3x a day, ohh a mothers paybacks.lol So far the only thing he didn't like is a peanut butter shot as he called it it hurt for 2 days..
