OH!! And PS......thank you everyone for your help!! I'm having one of my scatterbrained days so please forgive me for my lack of manners!!

Okay, I'm back with a couple more questions. Sorry!! I've got it figured that, yes, I have to print a parking pass. Can I print more than one? My mom and dad will be going but will be staying with friends, so they'll need one. My husband and I haven't decided where we're going to stay--still debating--but we'll need one. How does it work for any of my son's friends? Do I just give them the password, and they access the site to print thier own? Or is the site a one-shot deal that only I will be able to access and have to print multiple copies? I'm so confused!

Residence Inn Waukegan is a great hotel to stay in up there.  We loved it.  They have the larger suites too if you have many family members (2 bdrms 2 bths).  They also have the studios.  All with full kitchens.  PIR shuttle, free buffet breakfast, pet friendly, 4.5 miles from base, fireplace in the room, sleeper sofa, fitness room, etc.  Quiet office park area.  Close to the Walmart shopping center...Springhill Suites is by that, and that is another good hotel.  Both of these are Marriotts.

scobbymom:  Are you thinking that you can see your sailor on Thurs?  If so, you won't be able to see your sailors until PIR.  They are not allowed.

It is great to hear about all the different things that are happening.  Our son will be heading to Mississippi after boot cammp, anyone else heading that way?

I hoping that we can get there on Wed afternoon and that he will have sometime on Thrus. still hoping that he will be around on Fri. I guess we'll wait and see.  I'm still trying to figure which hotel to stay at.  I'm looking forward to a letter soon. Today I printed off pictures of his nieces baptism that happen this weekend,  We really missed him.

have any of you heard anything about a meet & greet that Ramada usually does the night before PIR's? I've seen it numerous times about other PIR dates.
Comment by Invisible12 on September 27, 2011 at 1:47pm
NavyMomJanet - another mom told me she flew into Milwaukee and was very pleased.  She was also pleased with the Ramada.  I'm not positive which hotel I'm booking yet.  Decisions Decisions!!! LOL

ProudMom - is there anyone else's computer that you can use?  If your library has internet service then it shouldn't be a problem at all printing them out.  You just have to go on RTC's website and print them directly from there.

NavyMomJanet - my son is going to Pensacola too for IT.  What your daughter's rate?

Comment by MM3 Proud Momma on September 27, 2011 at 1:22pm
Can someone help this completely confused momma? I assume that when parking passes become available, we're supposed to print them out, right? One problem---My printed has decided to join the world of the non-functioning! I've been on the phone with Walmart to have it replaced/repaired, but they can't promise me a replacement for 6-8 weeks!! YIKES!! This was a gift from my son a few months before he left specifically for the purpose of printing out anything important about his PIR, etc. What do I do now? Please don't tell me to buy a new one because it's not in the budget! And I truly don't trust our local library
