paces......I know that feeling, all too well, not knowing what's going to happen. I hope they let him keep his contract. Our son is usually really upbeat..and it took a toll on him too. When everyone says it's more mental than physical training....they weren't lying when they say that!! I think that goes for the parents too haha! I pray he heals very quickly and he gets some great news soon!!!!

Zenda 04/823... Congrats on the graduation!!! Ours was hoping to finish by the end of March. Doubtful that will happen.  Thanks for the info about the dive medical officer. That is a relief to hear. We are hoping this doesn't affect his contract, but we will have to see. He is really disappointed right now. I just hope he can focus and get his mind back to task. I don't even know how far away GL is from us,(probably about the same) but Panama City is only 6 hours. We were so excited to hear he was making progress to that point. Now, this. Well, we will take one day at a time and pray for guidance.

Let us know how he is doing as well. It is good to still be connected.

great to hear from you paces! Congrats on him being a Sailor!!!! :) That's terrible that he re-broke his leg! I hope everything goes well...please keep me updated.

The dive medical officer is awesome! They took great care of our son. He ended up getting a medical condition with his muscles. It put him back in dive prep school....he was really bummed. He was about 3 days from his graduation date. They rolled him back to the next class, he's all better now, and will be graduating dive prep this Friday. YES! :)

He'll be going to Panama City after that. So glad...he'll only be 8 hours away instead of 20 hours. We can make a trip up there for a long weekend to see him. Glad to still talk with our little group :)

Zenda 04/823 Good to hear from you.  Don't know why this is typing in bold print.  Ours is finally a sailor. He transferred out of THU two weeks ago. But, received a phone call today. He has re-broken his leg. He had the x-rays today and meets with the Dive Medical Officer tomorrow to see what happens next. Please keep him in your prayers.

Good morning everyone! I just wanted to say hello....hope you, your family & Sailor's are doing great.

Paces - of course I'm looking to the next visit!!!  LOL.  I'm going to try and make a trip down there but if not I won't get to see him until he graduates on May 9th.  I will keep my fingers crossed that his recovery goes well and that he'll make it Pensacola.  I wish you all the best for the new year.

Invisible...So glad to hear you had a great visit. I know you are already looking forward to the next visit. Ours leaves on Friday. I am not looking forward to it. He and his brother have gone target practicing this afternoon. They bought a new "toy", if you know what I mean, and had to try it out. Hopefully, he will be in Pensacola by the first of March if his recovery goes well. Hoping for a fantastic year for everyone full of joy, happiness and good health as well.

Happy New Year everyone!  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.  I enjoyed having my sailor home for Christmas and New Years.  He went back to Pensacola yesterday.  It was wonderful having him home.  He really hasn't changed all that much.  He looks great and he's happy.  He actually couldn't wait to go back.  He graduates A School on May 9th so I don't know if I'll get to see him before that.  I'm going to try and make a trip down there.

I hope this year brings joy, happiness and good health to all of you, your sailors and families as well.

Hello Everyone, @Jimbo - it never cease to amaze me how there are scams waiting to take advantage of innocent people. You daughter is blessed to have a strong take charge dad. My Sailor is doing well, she is on hold for two weeks then indox will start. She is close to home, so we will see her again this weekend.
@ Everyone visit majesticfragrances.scentsy.us if you want a Navy warmer like the one in my picture, my daughter loves her warmer because the emblem and it is electric.
