FYI, she did say that they are not allowed to bring cell phones back from liberty. So if you want to give them their phones, it will have to be at the airport or after they move over to NTC.

My daughter said there was a line at the NEX for the phones and that there are about 60 phones in there. Some people were just going straight to the computers.

Congrats to all who got phone calls or letters today!  We were blessed with both in one day....priceless!  Can hardly wait to for the "I'm a Sailor" call to come now.  Excited to meet everyone and safe travels and good weather to all of you.  4 Days and 9 Hours to go!!!!
Comment by Invisible12 on November 6, 2011 at 1:11am

I wasn't lucky enough to get a phone call today but to my surprise I checked on FB and THERE HE WAS!!!!  He posted a short comment - "only 5 more days...." I was thrilled to see him trying to reach out to world LOL but I don't know why he didn't call.  I guess he felt the hour we spoke last weekend was enough...LOL.

These next 4 days are going to be torture.  First, waiting for the "I'm a Sailor" call and then waiting to board that plane to see him.  WOW ladies - it's almost here.

@diannep - A MUCH better feeling!!!! I got to talk to my husband for an hour and a half tonight.... yes that's right he got to call 2 weekends in a row!! We had so much time to talk about so much, he had some hilarious stories to share from the past 7weeks. He has developed some great friendships and said he can't wait for me to meet them. I just feel so blessed that God led my husband to the Navy and guided him in his decision to serve our country. I am so proud of him and to hear him chat away and be so excited about everything they've done the past few weeks, there is no better feeling!!! The next 4 days must fly by and I def can't wait for that I'm a Sailor call!!!! :)

hobbes.gif WOO-HOO on phone calls!

Congrats to 371 and 823! Yay for all the recruits and Sailors on Captains Cup...hope they had a great day!

Comment by diannep on November 5, 2011 at 8:07pm
Wow!  What a wonderful day for you all because RTC FB posted the Captains Cup results over the weekend (they don't always do that!) and because you all got calls!  Excitement will "reign" now for you all the way through PIR!  A much better feeling than what you started with 7-8 weeks ago, right???
