Oh, and the cab ride to the base from Pensacola airport  to NAS is around $32. All the cabs have to charge the same rates so it makes no difference which one you choose. If your sailor goes to the USO office, they might be able to share a ride with someone. Just a tip.

Happy holidays to all! My daughter headed back to Pensacola yesterday. It was a nice visit. She had trouble getting leave approved because she was not in the system or something so there was a delay. Needless to say, the round trip, non-stop flight on United for $380 went to $1162. She calls me up AFTER purchasing the ticket. I immediately called United and cancelled it, of course and got her flights for $540 through Priceline. I also told United they were crazy with that pricing and my daughter she was crazy to have paid that much. Kids!!! It took United 30 seconds to take her money, but a week to give it back, too.

So glad to hear your visits are going well. Ours comes home on Friday. We will have everyone home for a few days. Doesn't happen very often. Our middle graduated from college on Dec 10 and now we have a sailor as well.  Our youngest is in heaven as well. She has greatly missed her older brothers. It has been wonderful having the middle one home for a while. Wishing all a happy New Year.

We've surely enjoyed our time with our Sailor also. He's leaving tomorrow...I think I may steal him!! :D Enjoy your time with her. It was a great Christmas present to have him home with us. Our oldest son came home for the weekend also. Our home was complete again, and their younger sister was in heaven...we all were!!! Good luck to her and tell her congratulations from our family!! :D

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year to everyone!  Hope you all are well. Have been enjoying time with our Sailor. She seems very different in some ways. Quieter, almost like she doesn't know what to do or say around us! Although she can still argue quite well with her sisters!! already worrying about when she goes back to base, dreading another "goodbye" :(  Never get used to that!  She and I are going to study together this week! Taking her for a Pedicure also, and boy does she need one!!!  lol   Hope you all are enjoying your holidays!

I think it was about $205.00 one way. He will be driving his truck back. I know some of you spent much more but it's just the principal of the thing.

someone that I am a ware of just completed A school, some where in the world. This person should be having eye to eye contact with some person who gave them birth, very soon ! lol

It's all just a big ripoff !!!!  That really gets me upset that they tell you one thing and do another.

The flight we booked was with United. The military fare was more than the regular one. I don't get this!?
