For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Ok, Invisible. Have to retract my statement. Reread your post...and see that he had passed the PFA on the 20th (or right before). There will be another one...that was probably the 2nd one. The 3rd and final one will most likely be early this week. BUT, the good news is...if he passed that 2nd one, he should pass this one...so ONWARD! The 3rd one MUST be passed by all no matter what they did on the first two. But positive thinking! He will do it!
I have not heard a BattleStations date for 369/370? Does anyone have one? If so, please private message me. I have an idea when it is, but need confirmation. Thanks! Also need one for 823.

Kimmy'sMomma: I'm with you...no snow here in S. FL either :-) ...but drizzling rain after lots of stormy weather for the past couple of days. This is our version of a "cold front." We get everything...but the COLD! :-) Praying for those who have had such severe weather, damage, and even deaths. So sorry...
Congrats, Invisible! It is such a relief when they have passed that final PFA! Remember, ladies...no news is good news....most don't get to call and may not write to let you know they passed. If they fail it, they are supposed to give you a "scripted" call (supervised) to tell you that they didn't pass it and will not graduate. DO NOT LISTEN TO THIS. Because...the truth is...they get more chances to pass it (in the FIT Division)and most do....and they then can do Battlestations with another division before PIR. So don't cancel your plans if, God forbid, you get this call.

PIR Ribbon Update: I still have a couple of people who I have not received payment from so get that to me ASAP. everyone else who has paid all your ribbons have now been shipped. If you have not received them yet you should have them sometime in the next couple of days. If not please let me know and I will track their location :-) Don't you wish you had tracking numbers for the recruits letters to home? It is NOT too late to order ribbons so for our new members or others who keep forgetting just send me a friend request or message on this site, or you can send me an email: uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com and I will send you all the info you need to place an order as well as some helpful PIR tips.

Thank you, thank you, thank you so much to everyone. I was really soooo worried about the PFA but it's over - he passed and now on to BS !!!!!! I'm getting sooo excited I want to scream. My poor younger son, I've been so preoccupied with this that I completely forget Monday is Halloween. I didn't even get his costume or candy yet. Today I didn't do a thing because of the disgusting snow and ice so tomorrow I'll be a busy little beaver. I also have to mail out my son's contact lenses so he can wear them to PIR. YIPPEE !!!
