I know each child is different..and I love hearing about everyone getting their calls and letters.. I just want to vent and appreciate the support and assurance from fellow moms...My son hasn't wrote but one letter and not sure how he is doing :(

No one else has stated they have got letters either..he just isn't a writer... I pray he is fine..I have to take the mindset..no news is good news...but once I find out he is fine in two weeks.. I shall beat him with a wet noodle for not keeping in touch!!

Ok...now I'm through venting...both sons' birthday is tomorrow..their first away from home and one of them I can't even tell him to have a happy day! Makes me sad..but I am proud of my boys and know they are on the road to great things!

Ladies I can't wait to hear the good news from all of you. That everyone's SR passed PFA 3.

Invisible12. One year and three months ago I was worried about my son passing his run; However, it all worked out in the end. Think positive thoughts and say lots of prayers.

With our SR's being in push divisions, I am assuming that the week by week schedule is a little off, right? Things that may be scheduled for week 6 may be occurring in week 5 right?

Boy I'm really praying my son passes his final PFA. I hope a get a letter tomorrow with good news.  Rumor has it our division might be able to make a phone call.  GOD I HOPE SO....good nite all.

Invisible:  They have to pass this 3rd PFA and it is usually taken the week before PIR...higher-numbered divisions may even do it at the beginning of PIR week, but thinking most are done the week before.  The run is usually the one that trips some of them up. Positive thinking and lots of prayers that he is moving along well!

I love Thursdays now!! We got a letter also. I'm a happy Momma!!! :D Our son did the same, put a letter in for Grandma and a letter in for a cousin. Said he ran out of envelopes.

Got my usual Thursday letter, with letters from my SR to his siblings, as well. No mention of dates for BS (dagnabit), but he sounds strong. Ladies - and Jimbo - we are almost there! Have faith, be strong, and keep to your plans.  If I get all the way to GL, even if my SR shouldn't do well...someone BETTER let me see him :-) !!

Sandy- LOL that's ok. I know you don't come across many Navy wives on here. :)

NavyWife, sorry!! I meant your husband, LoL
Comment by Sandy's_sailor son on October 27, 2011 at 7:51pm

NavyWife, hang in there. You are in the final stretch now. Only 13 days to go and it will go fast. I bet you get a letter from your son this week with the Battle Stations date. Maybe he does not know the date yet. Your son will know for sure sometime this week.

Prayers going out to all you who are worried about the PFA.
