NavyMom93 - that's priceless!

My husband had an amazing thing happen yesterday. He was on his way home and stopped to get some milk. He was talking to the clerk, who is a friend of his, about our son. When he was getting ready to leave, the man behind him stopped him and said "Can you do me a favor?" My husband said "If I can, yes." The man looked at my husband and said "Tell your son thank you for me the next time you talk to him." My husband didn't know this man. When he told me this the pride just welled up in me so much so that I have no other way to describe how I feel other than proud.

Navymom93... Our son is the same way. We had key lime bars instead of cake. He wanted barbecue. Turkey is okay, but barbecue is better. We face the same dilemma when his falls on Thanksgiving Day. I hope it was a wonderful day for you all regardless of what food you had.

We are still praying for such a wonderful Christmas Present. Won't know for another week or so if he will be able to come home.

Jimbo,,, I know she will enjoy the nicer weather. Will she be closer to you in Florida?

MarciaShea's Mom... That is great.  She will be glad to see her friends and spend some time with them as well as family.

Hope everyone has a fantastic week. God bless and we are praying for all our SR's and Sailors.

Hello Family, I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am looking forward to next week my daughter is coming home for eight days before heading to Norfolk. I spent a week in Great Lakes following graduation. Some of her friends are giving her a party and I can hardly wait to see that smile. Have a blessed week everyone!

Headed to the airport this morning to see my daughter off...finally, lol! She gets to miss all of this wintery weather in Florida!

paces...Yes her birthday was on Thanksgiving and she hated it! She doesn't like turkey or ham so since it was her birthday we had tacos. She doesn't like cake so we made an extra pumpkin pie and put candles in it and decorated it. Although I don't think all of that meant as much as talking to her brother. Now I'm just waiting on my Christmas present....my son for a little while!

Warm Hugs to all of you.

NavyMom93...Was her birthday on Thanksgiving? Our middle son's was on Sunday.  It is funny, when our SR called on Wed he spent most of his time talking with his brother.

I wish for you all a great week. Always in our thoughts and prayers.

Good morning to all! Well, almost afternoon, LOL.

I haven't been here as much as I'd like but life has once again got in the way of all my good intentions. I still look forward to hearing about how all of our sons and daughters are doing since graduation. Please don't take my silence as an indicator that I don't care. I just don't have as much time as I would like anymore.

I finally heard from my son on Thanksgiving day and he sounds good. He spent most of the time time talking to his sister because it was her birthday too and that's ok, she needed to hear his voice on her special day just as much as I did. Warm Hugs to all of you! You've never stopped being in my prayers.

Happy Holidays everyone! Hope all are well! My daughter is enjoying her time in warmer weather! Toledo, Ohio weather stinks! Rainy and chilly now, snow by Wednesday :(  I hate winter!  My daughter won't class up until Jan. sooo doing alot of cleaning!! She is loving all of the liberty though!  Never thought I would hear her say that she misses the food at boot camp!! The food at the base is awful!  Eating alot of pudding and Ramen noodles!  She loves her dorm and the fact that she only has to share with one other roomie!  They are getting along great!

She is coming home for Christmas, 2 whole weeks! Can't wait to see her! Even though we talk or text everyday, I still miss her terribly!!   I know, cut the cord!!!

Hope to hear how others are doing!
