I will also be praying for her to, cause she can do all things thru Christ, cause God before her who can be against her!!

gracecism:  The good thing is that she only has to pass the swim once.  The other PFA requirements...they have to pass in the final PFA (3rd one)--no matter whether they passed them before or not--- before they can do BattleStations and become sailors.  So prayers that she gets it done soon!

It is a great place to be based and to visit and I am now a big fan of Virginia Beach as well. I have been there 4 times to visit my Sailor since she got there in December last year. There is just so much to do in that area. We have a great time anytime we are at the beach, where it happens to be :-)

Invisible, ((hugs)) maybe it will come tomorrow.

Lala, when we were there in September for my son's A school graduation, the Blue Angels flew directly above our hotel room twice in 2 days.  We were at the Navy Lodge and on the 4th floor, so we had an awesome view, from our balcony, as they flew over the Lodge and over the bay.  :)  I loved the lighthouse and also liked the museum so much, that I went back to see it again, after seeing it in April too.  My son also says, "there are definitely worse places that I could be now"  lol

Thank you SO much LaLa.  I can't wait to get the ribbons!

On a sad note - I didn't get my weekly letter today....I hope everythings okay with him and that he was just too busy to write.  I'll just go wallow in my own pity now. LOL

My daughter and son-in-law both has A-school in Pensacola and they both loved it. We have been vacationing in Pensacola since my Sailor was a toddler so she was very familiar with the town. And actually we had been to NAS more times than we could count. The Naval Aviation Museum there is awesome and FREE and the Pensacola Light House is right across the street from the museum. The Blue Angels practice one day a week and you can go watch them. It used to be on Thursday but I'm not sure what day it is now. They have a huge Air Show over the beach each summer in July which is also FREE. It is usually the weekend after the 4th of July. Fork Pickens is also very cool. All this talk about Pensacola makes me want to go there now lol. And the absolute best place to eat is Flounders across from Pensacola Beach. They have the best Key Lime Pie in the world, YUM YUM!!!

Hhere is an update on the ribbons ;-) For everyone who ordered ribbons to wear to PIR they have all been shipped even the ones that were ordered last night and this morning. You should have them within 2 to 3 days. PIR will be here sooner than you think and I know you are all EXCITED about that :-) If anyone missed out on ordering ribbons and would like to get them please contact me ASAP. I have a very quick turn-around and ship Priority mail so there is still plenty of time to get them to wear to PIR. Just send me a friend request on this site or an email to: uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com    Thanks everyone for making my ribbons a part of your very special event.

graceism, he does like Pensacola.  I guess there is nothing like being a 19 year old guy and living 10 minutes from a beach.  lol  He is at Corry station, but NAS is only 10 minutes from there, so he likes to golf there on weekends.  If your daughter is a beach person, she will love it there.  They are beautiful!  I've been lucky enough to have visited him 3 times since he got there.   What is your daughter's rate?

Betsy.momofPensacolasailor...thanks so much!  That is encouraging to know that this a challege for many...she made it seem like it is just her...and I know in her world right now that may be the way it seems....(smile)  I will keep you updated...and thanks for reaching out!  How do your Sailor like Pensacola?  My Sailors' A-school is in Pensacola but we will focus on one thing at a time right now (smile)
