Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hello ladies, I'm back. I didn't mean to desert you all, but my mother was hospitalized for the last week and I spent most of my time there with her. She is home now, so I will be on here again full force. I've missed you all. To refresh your memory, I'm also a veteran mom who also helps out on here. I'm really glad to be back.

I'm a Sailor calls come the day they finish BattleStations (overnight drill). Read the BattleStations discussion above for more info. BattleStations are done over several nights within a week of PIR. You can start asking your SRs when their division will go through. They should know this in a week or so. Just don't post dates on this board. Please private message to me as I will be keeping a schedule and will send it out.

So when does that call usually come? Have they taken any written tests yet? I am praying that they all do well and that we all get "the call"! I can't wait to meet you all. Only 23 days and counting!!! Yahooo!
