Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

So I hate to be a downer....a gentle reminder that OPSEC needs to be followed. No last names or dates of movement of sailors or movement of ships thay they might be on. Please delete, edit and repost without specifics. You may send that info privately. Please don't let this reminder stop you from posting though. K? We want you all to keep connecting.

Good morning everyone!!! Just wondering how everyone is doing? Life is good now that I can talk to my Sailor everyday! At least until classes start in A school! Katie is coming home for Christmas! Loving that, lol! Has anyone else's sailor booked an airline ticket? We went through orbitz, had no idea how to get a military discount! She was to impatient to let me investigate further :( If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

oh that cool Connie. Maybe our guys know each other. Dan just moved over to A school yesterday, he was in THU (holding unit) until his paperwork cleared.

Leaving this group now. Congrats! If anyone has any info to share that may have been different from what we N4Moms veterans shared with you, please message me. I will pass it along to the other veterans....we want to constantly make sure what we share with you all is accurate. So any updates are greatly appreciated. And rermember....you all are N4Moms veterans now...so feel free to share on the PIR sites, or any other sites, whenever you want to!

My daughter is in Great Lakes, I just returned home from being with her. I an so grateful to God for allowing me to be so close from the Gateway Inn I could look out my winding and see my daughter's barracks. Once leaving A school she will be stationed in Norfolk, VA. We live in Maryland.

Connie my husband graduates from great Lakes A school too on Dec 14th. Whats his job? We are going to be stationed in Norfolk, VA!! He has to report on the 26th.
