Bella Chella - Depend on exact Div, but Div 367 is on Week 3, Day 1 today.  Their weeks start on Thursdays.

Don't worry about the Ninja thing...and yes like LaLa said..."sharks" are handed down as punishment by the RDC's. They DO NOT put up with hazing.

Read my letters !!!  One envelope had his life insurance papers in it.  Did anyone ever get this?  He answered my questionnaire.  He said he's a section leader.  Is that pretty much what it sounds like?  Sounds like a good thing.  When I asked if he won any flags yet his answer was "sponsors sponsored us."  Does anyone know what that means?  All in all, he sounds good.  He has a slight cold and blisters on his heels.  He failed his first PFA (how many times are they allowed to take it?) but he passed his swim test!!!  YAY.

 

So many questions !!!!  I'm just so happy to have gotten letters.  Now I can sleep good tonight.

Missy,

My daughter did a SEAL workout at the pool at the Great Lakes pool before she shipped and, since they don't wear masks or goggles, complained that the water made her eyes blurry for a while. Could it be that's the case here and a mistake was made?

missync- sorry to hear it :(  How sad for him.  My daughter had her heart set on the military police job (cant remember the name right now)  was told at MEPS her eyes were not good enough. We had just been to our own eye doctor a few months before and were told her eyes were perfect!!

Got a phone call...not a particularly good one, especailly for my SR.  He lost his AIRR contract, because they say his eyesight has gotten alot worse (in 3 friggin' weeks???).  He qualifies for diver, but there are no openings. So he goes to find out his new job tomorrow. They tell him once he gets his new contract, and does the training, he can get PRK surgery for his eyes, and then reapply.  The up side is that to do air rescue well, he needs to see well, and the Navy will help him get that done. The down side is he is dejected right now. His Div. # will change, and he will have to go through all that adjustment again.
