Today and always I am Thankful that so many choose to give themselves freely to our country in order to protect the freedom of not only their own families but the freedom of complete strangers as well. I am blessed to have two Sailors, my daughter and son-in-law who have made this choice and I love them with all my heart and soul. But I also love all of you and your families who have chosen to protect us as well. Thank you so much for your service to our country whether you are a military service member, retired service member, veteran, or family who stands behind them. God Bless you all and Happy Veterans Day. Lora
My Sailors <3
Thanks Invis...but I didn't do it! Musta been one of the other "vets"!
It was very nice to meet people at PIR and the Meet & Greet! Good luck to all of our sailors! My daughter lost her airr contract and chose to go to Pensacola as an undesignated airman. This will allow her to get a taste of what rate she wants to strike for. It also means we get to spend the next several days together since she won't get her orders until next week.
PIR was amazing! Such a special day. We're going to meet our sailor at the airport at 9am and spend the day with him until his flight leaves at 5pm, so at least we'll have more time with him than I thought. It's terrific. Aside from the weather everything was GREAT !!!!!
Sarge's Meet & Greet was perfect and it was such a pleasure to finally meet him. He's been driving us all over the place. I'm so happy that most of us got to meet and I'm sorry for those who couldn't make it. I plan on always visiting this group and I hope you all do the same.
FTLW - thank you for changing the group to "Alumni." And thank you for all you do. You've been such a huge help to us and it's very much appreciated.
Dianne - a big thank you to you too for everything you've done. We really all couldn't have made it through in one piece without both of you.
When I get home I can't wait to post some new pictures of my sailor!
I hope you all had a great day with your sailors! Time to try and get some sleep.
Love to All
It was awesome!!! If anyone who has a sailor going to San Antonio tomorrow knows how we meet up with our Sailors at the airport could let me know, I would appreciate it!
Hey! Hope some of you are in the bleachers now! Enjoy this wonderful day! And don't forget....some get a "peek" at their sailors (and a hug) during surprise bathroom visits before PIR begins! So maybe hang out there :-)
