Our son Cody Wayne Hayden served in the Navy from 1986 to 1990. He was the Recruit Commander on Jan 30th 1987, Company 950, Great Lakes, IL. He died in 2010. My family would be so grateful if we could get a copy of this video. He has three children I know would treasure this. If anyone knows where I can acquire this video please contact me ASAP. Thank you and God Bless America! mkurtz965@gmail.com

My son arrived at BC the evening of 9/10/13. I just received his" box" today. I had called his recruiter on Friday 9/13/13 to see if he had his address and he did. Does anyone know how accurate that is I sent a letter off today but I was just wondering.

My son is leaving to Navy Bootcamp next Tuesday Sept 24th. I simply can't imagine him not being here. I get teary eyed and very emotional just thinking about him leaving. He's a great young man and I'm so very proud of him. I just need to figure out a way to keep it together. I fully plan on having my teary moments and I think I'm allowed to feel this way. My tears come from his absence but also from a sense of being immensely proud of him and his accomplishments. I'll make it through this…

Its been a month today that we dropped our son at the recruiters office. It feels more like its been months since we seen him. We have recieved 2 calls last weekend and we were lucky enough to speak with him again yesterday. Also the letters are becoming regular on Thursdays. Which is awesome. I cant help but feel sadder after i recieve the letters and the call. I guess its normal so many emotions. Thanks for listening i just needed to vent. Not everyone understands how we are felling. He is…

Does anyone know where we can get Navy t-shirts for larger people? I am larger than a 2X and was unable to find any at the NEX (on RTC or Great Lakes). I would love one that says Navy Mom, but I would take any right now.
I am sure I could get one made, but don't know if there is some copywrite or trademark or other rules prohibiting it. Is there a way to order them online or get them somewhere?
Surely.... I can't be the only person who is well endowed up top or…

Well, he has done it. My son graduated September 6th (Div. 335) and is at Great Lakes awaiting going to Ft. Lee Virginia.
I thoroughly enjoyed the graduation ceremony and being able to see different areas of where he had been for the past few weeks. My favorite part of the ceremony (besides him finishing of course) was to hear cheers for each state that had some graduating and to know there were friends and family from all over the country there to support…
