My son leaves for Boot Camp tomorrow. I am soooo not ready for this. He has been doing laundry, errands and even cleaned his room. Nesting.....
We will have dinner with him tonight, then I'll toss and turn. I know I won't be sleeping tonight. I'm so proud of him. I miss him already.

I knew this would happen although, I had a very tiny inkling of what my son is going to be. I felt it during his very first birthday, then again on the 3rd and 4th birthday! It was unexplainable but I as a mom felt it! I was left wondering and just kept it to myself. Never talked about it to anyone til the day I witnessed that something was coming out of him.…

Well, Josh graduated on August 24th and is now enrolled in A school. He said that he and several others (probably more than just several) were all "on-hold" until some space empties up in class and, in the meantime, they all have cleaning duty. :)
Life is somewhat back to normal... different because I don't get to see him but it has been soooo great being able to talk and text with him again!! He called me last night to ask what kind of television he should buy for his room. He is…

My youngest son graduated from bootcamp Aug 31. I was used to seeing my son in a uniform because he had spent 6 years in the sea cadets but this was different. He wore the uniform differently. He walked differently. He talked differently. His attitude was different. He has transformed into a man in just those 8 weeks. He got his heart broken the day after PIR by his girlfriend of one year who decided that she "needs to figure things out" but he handled it with maturity and grace. He…

Now it is time to make sure he is prepared, try to get him to clean his room and plan his party.

My son has wanted to join the navy since the 9th grade. I was excited and hopeful that he would keep going with his dream. When it came to his 12th grade year he still had the dream and worked hard to achieve it. My son is now a sailor and graduates this week. It was rough at first because my one and only left home and I couldn't be there to talk, touch, or help him if he needed it. I will say as the days go by and the longer he was gone the better I got. He sounds so grown up and not my…

Hello everyone!
I don't have any new things to tell you because our SR has been in isolation. Not fun for him, but he has been able to contact us and keep us updated on his health. And we have squeezed a few stories out of him.
If your son is in his Division (ship 11 Div 331) , he really likes all his fellow SR's. He says the group gets along well. He can't see himself moving because there is such commeraderie amoung his fellow SR's. I think that's a great sign and I hope you…

We arrived back home from PIR late last night. All I can say about the entire experience is Oh My Gosh!!!!! It was Absolutely Amazing!!!!!
My Sailor has grown up. As much as it kills me in some ways, he is no longer the boy that I went to see sworn in at MEPS on 7/2/12. The person I hugged after PIR ceremonies on 8/31 is now a young…

Hey everyone, my husband just graduated from bootcamp and I was wondering how long it would be before the navy would move me down, if they do. He is going to school for Air Rescue. Thank you for your time :)
