I would like to know if I could join an individual or group in getting from LAX to Naval Base in Great Lakes, Chicago, Illinois, for the December 20, 2012 Navy recruit graduation. If yes, then please let me know ASAP.
Thanks,
Concha
P.S. His division is 042. I don't have any other info to know if the above is the correct date.

What I have for him is worth it.
It is worth every lonely night, every tear I cry from missing him, and the pain I feel from not having him close.
It is worth it because he is…

Anybody know of any pictures from Thanksgiving at Lindy's Restaurant and Marina for Divisions 27&28?
A HUGE thank you to Kelly and Scott, Navy parents, who let my daughters and I ride up to PIR with them! I wouldn't have been able to attend my sons graduation without that ride. They are two of the nicest people I know and were extremely kind to us!! THANK YOU! GOD BLESS!!!

Is anyone familiar with the Adopt A Sailor Program? I know that we can pick them up on Christmas Day and spend the day with them, but what documentation do we have to show saying we are actually related to them? My recruit's cousin is close and wants to spend the day with him, but the blue sheet that we got in the mail doesn't say anything about it.

I am one of those unlucky moms that was not able to have their sailor home for any holidays for 3 years. Promised leave, signed papers, trips cancelled day before leaving by the brass, that was typical for us. Devastating for my son being overseas so far from home. Keep perspective on how things are for you. If you miss one holiday out of 6, think of the other families that carry on, without a word. We are out there. It is actually hard to hear that others have their children for both…

In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

I am one of the lucky ones who has my son home today the day after Thanksgiving. I found out I will have him for Christmas. We did not have him last year as he went to boot camp on Dec 1. I know there will be more holidays without him so feeling grateful for the ones I have.
Hope everyone had a great holiday.

Hello guys, currently my boyfriend is in A-school at Fort Sam Houston in Colorado. I thought boot camp was hard without him, but this seems even harder. Now that he gets to interact and communicate with other sailors. he has less time for me. I don't want to seem selfish because I know he has a very important job now and I know he has priorities that do go ahead of me. But on the weekends when he has liberty he hardly talks to me, I just don't know if this is normal. I just want the honest…
