It has been over a year now since my son left for boot camp, and I've always intended to write to DEP mothers and let them know a few things I learned.

First just because your child leaves on a certain date doesn't mean that is the day his/her boot camp begins. My son was at Great Lakes at least a week and half until he started basic training. My older son and husband thought I was crazy to sign us up a Meet & Greet and I could tell when we first arrived they still felt that way. The mail is flowing now and my day's are getting easier to deal with. Yayyyy for me, my baby is sick though and she says she went to medical sinus an ear infection. She say's mom i just wish u were here to take care of me. She also stated that's she's bored lol it must not be intense enough for her. Anyway 2/8/2013 is right around the corner and she won't have these worries at least. I'm happy today and feeling BLESSED. GOD continue to look over and protect all of our children. AMEN
