While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Navy Federal Credit Union

Not sure if anyone will find this helpful; I just opened an account for my son at Navy Federal over the phone by calling 1-888-842-6328. He was able to do this prior to leaving for bootcamp. This was quick and easy. They have the 1199a Direct Deposit Sign-up Form online that he will be able to take with him when he leaves.

Bf Leaving

my bf is leaving for bootcamp on June 27th and i am going to miss him like crazy. I dont know what to do while hes gone. I know we can write each other but just not seeing him for a long time is going to drive me insane... Any i deas to help

overseas medical?

Ok so i am in need of some major help!!!! I got my overseas medical papers but now am stuck on what to do. There are parts that my civilian doctor can fill out and parts that she cant. My husband told me I have to have an active duty military doctor fill most of it out for me and do a lot of test to make sure i a okay to go overseas. Sounds easy enought except there are no active duty doctors in my state and the closest one is hours away!!! has anyone had this problem or know what I am…

HOW OFTEN DO TIGER CRUISE'S COME UP?

My daughter cannot go on Tiger Cruise because she is just 11 and you have to be 12. My son's ship is pulling into Norfolk, VA July 3rd I can still go on Tiger Cruise July 1st throught the 3rd with him. But my daughter is really bummed. We were gunna go to Virginia for the week of Tyler's homecoming and spend that week with him. I don't know what to do. Do these Tiger Cruise's come a lot or very random? LCAC

A funky name for our new adventure. We've left SO and now are learning what GSM is and what they can do in this rate. Now we know that he'll be working with LCAC. I've scoured N4M for people or information regarding his new rate and the possibilities and for friends to share with...to no avail. Grandparent's Scam

I just wanted to warn everyone to have an ear open. My son graduated from Navy Boot Camp on May 10th, 2013. He is currently at Great Lakes for A School (DC) and my parents his Grandparents were called last Thursday May, 23rd by someone stating that it was him (sounded congested) stating that he had 3 day's of liberty and he went with a fellow sailor to Canada to a friends wedding where they rented a car. Happy Memorial Day to all

I am looking for any information on Ship 02 Div 933 aka as triple threat, my daughter is in this division. I have received three calls from her so far and her PIR is June 28th. She says everything is good except for the cold she has had since she arrived in the Great Lakes.

Happy Memorial Day to all the new and veteran Moms!! I am a veteran Mom of almost nine years and have a son stationed at Oceana Naval base in Virginia Beach, Va. He is now a 2nd class PO an AO for those who don't know AO itstands for air ordinance. An AO works with missles,bombsand explosives. How can I find out?

My daughter has been transferred to Ship 4, Div 2341 due to some injuries that occurred during her second PFA and now she has to wait thru 6-8 weeks of Physical therapy before she can try to qualify for graduation. The only problem is that we have not heard from her in almost 2 weeks...no phone calls, no letters. Is there any other way to contact her that keep on shooting her letters from home? We are not receiving any responses and are getting worried.
