So, I finally got all moved into my tiny hotel room at about 3 a.m. yesterday (Monday).  I got about 3 hours sleep and went to work.  It was a good thing... Every muscle ached and it took my mind off my heartache.  Until I went to bed last night.  I sent a text to my "future" ex-husband asking if anything had arrived in the mail.  He said, "Nope."  So, I'm still waiting for the box.... I bought some paper and envelopes yesterday... deciding to start writing to Bug, even though I can't mail…

WE use to spend night, hours on end, talking and texting eachother, primarly while I was at work.....now I find myself on here at night. Anyone else miss there significant other, i do! He shiped out march 1st, its been a week----- bootcamp, waiting on the first letter------anyone else there with me?

Today I was hoping the "dreaded box" was going to arrive.  I waited all day and it did not.  I guess it'll be tomorrow.  What is funny... it no longer feels like a "dreaded box"... thanks to this site and other mothers that have shared their experience receiving "the box"... I am actually looking forward to it...

How is it that a week can fly by and yet drag along all at the same time?!?  It seems that when I slow down so too does time.  I am so ready to hear from my son.  I know it's only been a week but I will feel so much better when I can actually write to him.

Dropped my son off in Miami on 2/28.  I could tell he was ready.  Dropped my IPhone in the toilet on 2/29 waiting all day for his 15 second call announcing his arrival in Great Lakes... 1 borrowed phone later I received the call at 2:30 a.m.  It was very robotic and just freaked me out.. Well, it's 4:20 a.m. on Sunday morning.  Bug left early Thursday.  I worked on Saturday because I took time off on Wednesday and Thursday to be with him before he left...Time to try to make up hours.  It made for a really long day...but that was good as I still feel like I'm in limbo.  I don't know if his training days have actually started yet or if he's still on P days.  I suspect the latter.  It's helped to watch the videos and read about what actually happens day by day... still, I miss…

for all of you have kids at bc right now, we have survived week one without them.  wow what  a tough week, first sending our kids off to unkown territory, the "i'm here call", and then receiving their belongings in the brown box.  apparently it's only going to get better once we get and address and start sending letters, or atleast that's what i'm hoping!  i hope and pray that all of our children our okay and doing well.  my thoughts are with each and every one of!

I have been reading so much and about PIR day. Many are saying they are bringing their sons/daughters cell phones to them, laptops etal...and some recruits are allowed to take them and some no... where is the best place to stay; most convenient; I have a 76 year old grandpaw with me..I am renting a car...also where to go after PIR..some are saying the time is crunched..any suggestions; what are others doing? Well, I managed to make it through the second day of Bug's absence.  If you remember, I couldn't sleep last night... I finally dozed at around 5 a.m.... Of course, I have to leave for work by 6:45...Did NOT happen.  LOL.  I spend most of the time exploring the N4M site.  What a great place!  I'm still overwhelmed with it all...but have thankfully found women to share the journey.

My daughter Skye left for BC Feb 21st.  I received 'the box' yesterday, everything she was wearing the day she left came back to me.  I sat there and held her clothes for a long time, crying and praying for her. I can still smell her perfume on them...oh how I miss my little girl.  I am so proud and sad at the same time.
