Navy life...where it hurts the married life.

So basically I hate statistics.

Because they say that me and my husband have about a 1% chance of not getting divorced.

I swear I am going to prove them wrong. But this uphill battle is tiring and frustrating, and quite frankly I am flat out exhausted. With my husband gone for 12 hours of the day monday-friday and me working 45 hours a week, a new puppy who needs so much attention, I feel like she is a human child, and us drowning in bills, sometimes walking away seems like a…

How do I reach him?

When my son was at bootcamp I had no problem getting him mail.  Now that he has move to A/C school I have neither recieved a letter nor an address.  Is this normal. I know his school is on the same campus as bootcamp, but have been told that he iss no longer at the same address.

Things are starting to get better.

My husband left December 13th and the first few weeks were by far the hardest. Still now I get down, but I don't let him know that. When I write him letters I keep upbeat and positive because I don't want him to feel bad for leaving me. I make sure he knows in every letter that he's the strongest, bravest man I know and that I am SO proud to call him MY husband! I use to cry everyday,…

Letter # 2 came today!

Working a double shift today and I have my break in the middle, I checked my mail when I got home and THERE IT WAS!!!  Letter #2!

Who ever I got the questionnaires from THANK YOU!   She used one this time... She is impressed with the Navy lingo I have learned,  says she doesn't even know what I am talking about. And I have the wonderful pleasure of still teaching her things... HA! Mom's rule ;)  There were terms I have used that she doesn't know about, and I got them all…

My son is taking the test today (instead of last week)

I am not sure what to expect next..............I think this will be a great career move for him, he is currently in college for law enforcement (1st year), and he just wants to do more.

He is my only child, and I will definately have that empty nest thing going on, and am worried about how they get up their face and scream at them, I just think that is health discipline, but I know that will happen.

more letters from T....

I checked the mail today, and there was only one lonely envelope in there... a letter from my love ♥.

These were written on the 26th + 27th Postmarked on the 29th. They are much shorter than the last ones... and alot more depressing. He is wicked homesick. He put in a request to see the Chaplin, he is concerned that I have not written, but I have, ALOT! I hope by now he has gotten some. I mail at least one letter per day and walk it to the mailbox. I am on…

SEALS/BUDS Mom

I am writing this post about my oldest son who is 18 and just left for BUDS training in Coronado, CA yesterday.  I miss him so much already.  This phase of training will be much longer than the 2 months of BC and 2 months of Pre-BUDS at GL.  When my son was in GL, we were able to visit him a few times after BC, and he was able to come home and visit a couple of times.  The one advantage in BUDS is that he…

Letters from T

I got my first few letters from Tim today and I wanted to share how he is doing...

He got the Master at Arms position which is a very good thing! Says it comes with a little bit more freedom and he does not have to clean, just has to make sure the other recruits do what they are suppose to.... Said the Chief told the other guys in his DIV that if Tim gives an order it may as well come from him [the chief] and they better listen! He is so excited about that! Says he has made a… Continue

No letter yet?

Hello everyone, new mom here to this site.  Our son left on the 14 of Dec.  He does not want us to write to him until we receive a letter from him.... Everyone on here, it seems, has written to their sons by now and I'm not sure if I should send the letters out or not.  Do they have to read them in front of everyone???  Just wondering?   Any thoughts on if I should send out the letters or should I wait.  Thanks
