Hi , I am from Tampa, FL and my son's graduation date is above. Are there any other parents that have a recruit in the same Ship and Division? I am planning to attend PIR and wanted to share information. Thanks.

My son left October 13, 2015. We received his clothes 3 days later and a couple days after that we received a letter of his address and graduation date. But no phone calls or letters from him yet.  Its driving me crazy. Please help, thank you.

My recruit is done.  We got a call from her yesterday, had a nice long conversation and i didn't cry this time.  We are so excited to see her and make our trip to GL! She sounds so positive, exhausted and ready to go the next step.  Go Navy!!!

Thinking of joining the navy but keep going back and forth with my decision because I am a mom and wife. I don't know how I can handle being away form my family especially my daughter who is only 4yrs old.

Does anyone else have someone leaving that day?

Hi Everyone, I am new to all of this so if you can please help me out with some questions I would greatly appreciate it.  My son was accepted into the OCS school in Newport RI, he is supposed to be leaving on November 8th, 2015. So that I can plan on being there for his graduation, how do I find out when it will take place? Can anyone please provide me with some insight and/or advise regarding the graduation ceremony from Air Traffic Control School in Pensacola?  My son is currently attending ATCS and is doing very well.  Graduation date is scheduled for Dec. 15th.  My husband and I were going to attend but our son tells us it's not a "big deal", that it's nothing like his PIR and we don't "need" to attend.  I would appreciate thoughts and advise from another parent.  Thanks.
