OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

I think we have alot of the same thoughts and feelings about our daughters making this step. Its nice not to be alone in this. Please look me up on fb. My email is flight911er@aol.com I havent been able to link my blackberry with navy moms yet so its hard to respond quickly to this site like I am able to with fb msgs. I would love to connect with you there as well. Yes, Morgan cut her beautiful long hair and donated it to locks of love. Well actually I still have the hair. I just havent brought myself to part with it yes. I know silly, its just hair but Im holding onto everything of hears at the moment and until my heart feels a little better about all this im going to just keep on holding on. Hope your day was a little better than the last. I cant wait to get to know you more. Kimberly

Hi! I wonder if my son might be a week early - he arrived at GL on the 23rd, although I didn't get a call until 2:50am on the 24th!  When did your letter arrive?   Glad that you have a PIR date now, and it's sooner!!
