OCS Graduation

Hi Everyone, I am new to all of this so if you can please help me out with some questions I would greatly appreciate it.  My son was accepted into the OCS school in Newport RI, he is supposed to be leaving on November 8th, 2015. So that I can plan on being there for his graduation, how do I find out when it will take place? I know he said it is like 13 weeks long and that he will be home for approximately 2 weeks for Christmas which I am sure that would not be included in the 13 weeks of…

Graduation from Air Traffic Control School

Can anyone please provide me with some insight and/or advise regarding the graduation ceremony from Air Traffic Control School in Pensacola?  My son is currently attending ATCS and is doing very well.  Graduation date is scheduled for Dec. 15th.  My husband and I were going to attend but our son tells us it's not a "big deal", that it's nothing like his PIR and we don't "need" to attend.  I would appreciate thoughts and advise from another parent.  Thanks.

Does anyone know..The hotels in the area at GL...do they have a kitchen in them...A stove to make Thanksgiving dinner!!?

Leaving for A School

My son graduated Boot Camp yesterday. He was supposed to have the weekend with us but Thursday they told him he was leaving at 3am early Saturday morning. You can imagine my sadness when he told me this. It was too early to meet him at the airport. I am from Nevada and totally lost in Chicago. I have been waiting to hear from him and going crazy. Does anyone know how long before he can use a phone call to me? I just want to know he made it ok and get the address so I can send his phone.

I tried to educate myself as much as possible prior to, but nothing prepared me for how I was feeling...happy & nervous for… Continue
