Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

I also have told my SR to let me know if there is anyone not getting mail. So I will pass along if I hear. It is heartbreaking...will say special prayers for this SR.

@dcmont-so glad to hear our SR's are buddies. My SR will do A school @ GL. However the SA A school is only 2 hours from us. That is the same base that my SR left from (MEPS)

@CB-So sorry to hear that!!!

@diannep-The questionaire asked if they are looking forward to Battlestations-yes or no. He put three exclamation points on the yes line.

He said 925 got a flag! He was really proud!

@Amanda - He said your son was his first rack mate and that he is a great guy.

@CrazyBlonde - He spoke about your son too. He said the poor MAA has to do alot of IT :) I hope you hear from him today!

He spoke about the guy that broke down too. Poor thing, I hope he doesn't get kicked out.

It just breaks my heart to hear that some SRs have no family support - how sad.

I have been on a roller coaster of emotions since talking with my SR. He is doing great! And it looks like we will be planning a wedding soon!!! (not a surprise as GF had already confided in me.) But then I think of the story of the breakdown and the concern in his voice. My SR was not sure if the recurit was going to get to stay or be kicked out. It just breaks my heart that these young people have no family supporting them back home.
