Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Worst that could happen is that they may have to wait until all on the lists are seated, but many times, even that doesn't happen. 8 divisions is not that bad. There are 14 divisions today at PIR. Now THAT is alot of divisions!

I will have my step-daughter as a student lol. I am taking my work with me lol. I love subbing in high school art. They don't care if you are crafty and making beautiful things for beautiful people :-)

I was fun reading about all the letters received and I'm gonna make sure I have my phone in my hand all day tomorrow. I just wonder who she is going to call me or her daddy. It will be fun to hear all about the phone calls tomorrow!!!!! Are you loving the pictures on FB!!

He needed some more info regarding references and phone numbers! We talked to him for about 15 min and he talked to his wife for almost an hour:) He sounds really good (minus a cold) and is really liking it their and all the people:) Such a relief to here he's adjusting well!

My son will be staying in GL for his A training and they say the ones that stay there usually get Sat. and Sun. liberty.I know things could change with the liberty but I am going to be there either way!
