N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

The girlfriend got the call 1st!  She was here at the house, I was upstairs getting ready for my date with his dad.  We were invited by my sister-in-law and her hubby to go see Kenny Chesney tonight at Target Field!  Was wonderful, while we where there, SR called dad 5 times, finally got through to him.  Dad was pleased, since it was the real 1st call that dad got....lol  I on the other hand did not talk with him.......But Ya!  He passed and is a Navy Sailor!!  Proud Mom!  Can't wait to see him next week, just wish I could bring the puppies....lol

My Sailor called, too! YAY! Same thing, SamisMom, mine just said "HI". I'm like, "Hi". He's like, "How are you?" And, I wait....Finally, I asked, well are you a Sailor? And he answered yes. I said, "Well, say - I'm a Sailor!" He finally said it! He was really tired, too. 5am yesterday until 8pm tonite. I won't even tell you where he fell asleep by accident for 20 minutes! He said Gas Chamber was horrible. He is really looking forward to Liberty. I was so happy. Got 2 calls from him. One was 25 minutes and the second one was 44 minutes. It was a good day.

Got my beautiful ribbons in the mail today, and a 40 minute phone call! Life is good and he is so happy with the new RDC!!!

Comment by SamisMom on July 12, 2013 at 7:03pm
I am sooooo proud!!!! And this is funny - when I saw the phone number and knew it was my baby girl, I answered Sami!!! She says hi mama - I say hi!! So??? And she says so what? I ask her if she passed BS and she's days ya. I say well?? She says what?? LOL!!!!! She did not say "I'm a sailor!!" Lol!! I had to ask her if she was and she was so cute - she said its real now, I am a United States Navy Sailor!!
Poor thing - she was so tired. Said they have to stay up till 8pm tonight and have been up since 5am - yesterday!! Bless their hearts!! Said they had to be at attention for what felt like 2 hours and some were nodding off!! Lol
Sigh. I am so happy and just cannot wait to here in one week!!!! (Div. 265)

Congrats to 265/266!  The first sailors.  mammabear:  Hmmmm.....did you get that call?  I can't imagine that 267/268 went with them last night (although they can have 4 divisions for BattleStations if necessary) because there are only 7 divisions in this PIR group.  That is a small group.  Please post if you heard from your SR (or sailor?) and let us know.  Thanks!
