~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Lala, we are actually getting a break in the rain this afternoon with some sun. This will actually make everything POP! All our lilies are loving this weather with lots of rain and some sun. That would be awful to lose trees! Hopefully you were able to replant some of them.
Hi CatMom509
I send a scripture to our grandson SR in every letter. He comments how much of an encouragement it is. Thank you for this one ... it is so appropriate! God bless.
Friends,
This scripture is so appropriate for the Battlestations that your SRs will be going through soon. Perhaps you can share with your SR in a letter now.
"Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name;
you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames
will not set you ablaze. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One
of Israel, your Savior..."
Isaiah 43:1b-3a
Good morning Diannep!!! And everyone!!!!!! :o)
Proudofmysons - oh how exciting!!!! You got to actually SEE him!!! Wahooo! :o) So cool - congrats!
MomLovesRyan - sweet!!! Oh I hope we get our weekly letter today too...usually on Thursday but it's a holiday... I love how he gets Recruit Heaven on Friday!! I wonder if his brother division, 265, get it too? That's where my baby is, 265. Sounds like a great day for him!!! :o) Australia is so far away - but think how fun it would be to visit him there! Lol
YAY! Received a letter today! They are finished with all their shots now (Div 266). They will have Recruit Heaven on Friday. That's where they can buy whatever they want......KFC buffalo wings, Red Bull, Taco Bell, etc. I wants to get stationed in Australia after A School. (that's sooooo far away!). But, don't know if that will happen. He is doing really, really well though.
There are some definate perks to have an SR in the 936! We just watched the recorded video from this morning's PIR and there was our son!! If you have a SR in the performaning divisio you will want to take a peek: choir, band and flags all performed. Here is the link, though it's posted above, THANK YOU! http://www.livestream.com/usnavyrtc?utm_source=lsplayer&utm_med...
Good Morning!
Darlene, I hope your garden survived all the rain. I hope we are getting some of this rain back at home in NC. Last year when we were down here for vacation it was hotter in the mountains of NC than it was here (very unusual) When we returned home we had lost our Weeping Cherry tree, one dogwood, two Japanese Maples and our huge redbud bush :( Over $700.00 in trees just fired by the sun :(
One thing to remember about the I'm a Sailor calls. they can call more than one person, They often get 30 minutes to an hour for calls so that's enough time to hopefully call mom and wife or girlfriend and maybe even grandma too :)
Skinkneelove:
I put a new Gillette Razor in my guys basket. It does 3 different things. I got it at walmart for like under 25$. It is calleed th "Proglide styler". He loves the band Axe, so for when his hair can be a bit longer, after RTC I got him some pomade I know a lot of military guys love that stuff so they can look better if their hair is not totally shaved off. I got him some body wash aftershave, shaving cream, lip balm, shampoo and baby shampoo since he will have to be pepper sprayed at is MA school in Lackland, I got him some of his favorite deodorant and some combs for his short hair after RTC. I just got him things he can use while at A-school so he does not have to spend more money on things. So those are some ideas.
