Welcome to PIR 09/14/2012! A place for friends and family to stay connected!

OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Mailed my kid some clothes today...I am amazed at how much I was able to squeeze in one of those flat rate boxes from the post office. I just hope the space bag I put them in doesn't spring a leak and blow out the sides of the box before he gets them.

I've had texts but no calls. He told me today he is still waiting to start classes.

Dylan's Mom that's funny (mustering). It has been quiet. My son called my daughter and told her what outfits to get and then said to her, tell Mommy to mail me those outfits. I said oh he's demanding now, she no he was asking!!! Lol, love my kids!!!

I talked to mine tonight too, we sent him a box with some of his clothes and he said he should get to phase up this weekend too.. It is so much easier getting to talk to him now but I still miss him so much...

I think we need to have everyone muster...lol just like our sailors do right now. Git a call from my son this evening...he should be phasing up by the weekend. He is so excited about it that he has set aside some money just to get some new clothes. I am so proud of how financially he is.

Whoo Hoo..... civies again. It's been 30+ years for me, but I STILL remember how that felt. Isn't it fun to see our kids through this process? My son has a much greater appreciation for his own personal liberties than he ever did before.
