OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Wish my son would give me his address. I have asked him several times for it and I get the same answer. " Ok mom I will get it for you in just a little bit." Well little bit hasn't got here yet. Lol

Cooper, that's the same type of address I got from my girl! I had her confirm it 3 different times, never changed and after the last one she said, "Mom, it's right, just send the package!" So I did today. Lol

Hi, has anyone shipped out packages to their Sailor yet in Pensacola? I have a box of clothes ready to send to my son & the address he gave me is his rating & name, street address, barracks #, Pensacola FL & zip code. Does this sound correct? I just want to make sure he gets his pkg without any delays. Especially since I am putting chocolate chip cookies in it too. He didn't mention anything about it being temporary. Just thought I would check with others to see if theirs were similar.

Momof 2sailors, so happy you got to spend some time with your daughter. Hopefully she will hook up with some of her friends from bootcamp & they can show her around. My son was lucky to have a friend from home already there that was expecting him. I am hoping he was able to meet up with him.

Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Hi ladies..I really haven't left you...We have been running ourselves ragged! We've driven to Chicago 4 days this week and are now exhausted! My daughter arrived in Pcola last night at about 11:30. Today she has txted and called a few times. I think she is feeling overwhelmed and very alone. She hasn't even had a tour yet, so she has no idea where anything is and her roommate was not there last night and was then hung over today and then disappeared. She just sounds bummed.

But...it was awesome to see her for 3 days in a row!!!

The annoying habit I miss from my sailor would have to be how much he aggrevated his sister. Sometimes my house is way to quiet now. I must say I do always have milk and peanut butter now!

My Sailor's annoying habit is not wanting his food to touch on his plate and how he wouldn't mix food he ate one thing at a time and meat was last lol...

Happy mom!! My son called a little bit ago. We only got to talk for a few minutes, but it made my week!  He was headed in to town with some friends.

I only have a second, so I wanted to tell you all hello and have a blessed weekend. I'm headed to the mountains for my hubby's birthday weekend.

Comment by Johnson x 2 Mom on September 21, 2012 at 5:20pm
I think what I miss the most about my son is just the "life" he added to our house. He has been my loud & always busy kid & it just seems too quiet now...which is odd since I still have 3 other kids & 2 furry babies at home. He seemed so reserved at PIR that it was really hard for me to adjust to.
