Well Ladies I after a long 2 days of getting back home we finally made it late last night. Then this morning was laundry and grocery shopping. Haven't been on here much since PIR. I had an amazing time with my family. We went back to the hotel after taking our son to Gino's (per his request). I thought he would want to take a nap but he never stopped talking long enough to even get tired. Then went to see Lake Michigan (took more pics) and then later that evening took him to Chili's (per his request). So everything is back to normal (some what). Loving the fact that I can talk to my son almost anytime we want. He is super excited that he is in Pensacola. He is loving it. He is really excited and happy over his choice in Aircrew. I am so happy for him.
Oh and Lynda....love the t-shirt! My son was caught off guard when I changed into it and he loved it. Thanks to everyone that help me get through the past 8 weeks. Without you all I would have pulled my hair out along time ago.
Has anyone else started putting together a care package yet? I was planning on sending a bunch of Halloween decorations as we get closer but she told me today that they aren't allowed to put up anything thing like that. :( so now I have to get creative! Any ideas?
Ooh Sherry! I wish I knew how to tell you to change your settings. I will ask my hubby tonight if he knows. We didn't end up having to use the Taz bail out fund for me, so you can have it if you want! (keeping in mind that monopoly money isn't accepted by all...) lol, vent baby vent, that's what we're hear for!
Mikey's mom, Yeah, I'm getting my passport just in case!
At this point in time, how many of "our" kids are headed out of the country? (Not dream sheets, but actual orders already in hand?) I ask because for those going out of the country after A School or when they leave Great Lakes, more than likely they will not get leave to come home at Christmas.I know that most of them will take leave right before heading overseas, but this will be a hard time for those families or for those families whose sailor is granted leave or can't afford to come home. SO, in true TazNavyan Momster form, I think once we know which of our kids won't be home for Christmas (which is our newest countdown) and we should send them care packages from the Momsters! What do you think?
Ericka (My daughter) was hoping to be able to room with her friend Brooke from BC. They really got a long and had the same goals in mind, so she's been thrown by that. She was a little snippy with me yesterday. I know that she was running on very little sleep and so maybe that's some of it as well.
Angie, my daughter's an AO, on NAS
