OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance. Please take the time
to read the OPSEC and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names of Sailors/Recruits are not allowed on this site. If it is in your username you will need to change your username. If yours is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

I'd like to add to the thanks and appreciation for everyone in this group. You're how I survived boot camp! :)

I wish we had gotten more time with our Sailor, but those six hours we had were Heaven-sent. At least now we can talk to him on the phone.

Sherry-yup, he went in undesignated (no rating). He got everything on his dream sheet, in exchange. He'll be in Japan on a medium sized ship. He's excited.

My son was fortunate enough that his bunk mate also went to Fort Sam with him so they will room together.

Everyone loves the tshirts! Thank you again Linda.

Thanks to MLDD,FTLW, Lala and diannep for their support these past 8 weeks! What a wonderful weekend. Feeling better now that I can text or call him when I want.

Mikey's mom your son is going overseas already? God bless and prayers to you and yours.
