Okay...I added a MAPS of RTC Discussion up above.
Here is a view of the smaller map to show where Gate 8 is and Metra Parking:
See where it says Buckley Road and then you turn into RTC? This turn is OHIO. Then see Gate 8 with the red dot? This is the gate to enter for PIR. If you continue past Gate 8 on OHIO you will head straight into the Metra parking lot. It's not marked on the Map.
Here I got this from the Metra page for GL's. Hope it opens up...wouldn't let me save it in my favorites :-(.

B daniel - It is not a die hard must...but a good idea...so he can have a somewhat of a head count...plus then y'all can just see who is going to attend :-).
kimstn - Wow...okay...you can use the email contact on the page that juliebelle28 provided.
Click the link that she provided.
Once you get there click "Use our Contact Form"...it will take you to the email page. There is a drop down box for "Topic Category". Hmmm..."Pass-in-Review"? or whichever one you think will get their attention most! I will tell you that I have always received prompt responses from them.
The phone number for PAO is on the page that juliebelle provided.
Hugs to you mom!
rluv - See ellen0502's post below.
BUT...Just in case you did not (or do not have it) the Form Letter and are driving your own car...you can park in the Metra Parking just outside of RTC. It is on OHIO...which is the street that Gate 8 (the gate you enter RTC) is on. Instead of turning right into the Base, you continue straight and head right into the Metra Parking. There is a small fee....like $2. I'll get a Map up.
Ok - ladies - I am stressing out over something and need calming~~ we received a letter two weeks ago from Dept of Navy that our son had been named the Honor Recruit for his division and were invited to award presentation, etc etc with specific instructions on where to check in etc.
Today - I check RTC webpage and find that another SR is named as Honor Grad for our division; now, I certainly would never want to take anything away from the young man whose name was given; and if he is the recipient - I most certainly am proud for him and his family. However - I am confused as to why we received a letter with such specific info addressed to my husband and naming our son and his division correctly and yet......another is posted on site. I have sent a msg to RTC via FB site and asked for help/clarification. Have any of you Veteran moms seen anything like this happen? I hope we get clarification before Friday morning!
thanks -
Kimstn
rluv76: Did you get the form letter from your daughter with her address? The password is in that information. The pass is printed at the following link (with the password) http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/upcoming_grads.asp
Hi! It is 1AM in Frankfurt Germany and I am sitting in my hotel hardly able to sleep. I have a 530AM airport shuttle in the morning for my flight to Chicago. YIKES! :) It has been a long two weeks and work has kept my mind busy for the most part.
I wanted to take this chance to thank all of the moms, wives, fiances and girlfriends who have posted on this site ... the newbies like me for sharing thier phone calls, missed phone calls, letters and excitement, especially for sharing your "I am a sailor" calls (since I was unable to recieve one) ... a special thank you to families of Div. 147, I can't wait to meet you on Friday!
I also do not want to forget the "Veteran Moms" who have been so kind to help us all even when we ask the same questions over and over.... and for keeping track of us as we finish our boot camp journey. You are very special to donate your time and hopefully some of us can join you in helping the next crop of PROUD families!
I am leaving in the morning :) but even though I spoke with my daughter I never got any info on gate passes. how to print them. I know i missing the code as well. Can someone message me with help please I would really appreciate it!
Safe travels to you all! Congratulations again to all of your Sailors! Blessings on your reunions!
We will be checking in....available for lat minute questions, concerns, emergencies! Also, waiting to here about your experiences!
