LaLa- Got my ribbons yesterday too! They're wonderful :) Thank you so much! Was so worried they weren't going to be here in time, but was certainly relieved to see them arrive yesterday.
Wow -- This time flew by. Newbies -- the time really does go fast and before you know it you are packing to see your new sailor. I want to thank everyone for their support during these past two months. We had some laughs, we had some tears but mostly we made new friends. Thank you!
Lala - I got your ribbons and they are beautiful. Thank you for being part of the Navy family and sharing your talent with all of us.
Can't wait to meet all of my new friends on Thursday.
Dani
Welcome, Shayla! Wish you had found us earlier in your journey, but glad you did find the group!
Safe travel for all leaving for PIR today.
B daniel: Kids 12 and under need birth certificate or social security card. You need state-issued photo ID. Only pass needed is gate pass if you are driving a car onto base. If taking the shuttle to PIR, gate pass is not needed (but if you want to drive onto RTC when returning sailor after liberty on PIR day, you will need pass).
Thanks so much, BCmom. We N4Moms veterans love doing this! And...remember....in just a couple of days, all of you will be N4Moms veterans too! We invite you all to stay on the PIR groups and to help the newbies get through bootcamp!
"Extras" at PIR need to have proper ID, sailor's full name/division number. It is better if they show up with ones on the list, but don't think it is necessary. Sometimes extras are made to wait until all on the lists are seated; sometimes they get to go in right away. But they should get in.
Safe travels this week everyone and congratulations!!!
Don't forget to keep your gate pass after PIR, you may be able to drive your Sailor back to his barracks if he is staying in GL for A School.
I am pretty new to this site but I just want to say it is so helpful and everyone is amazing congrats to all of your sailors and families! I'm so excited to see my husband friday!!
@FTLW , LadyHamilton...Thanks for your help on Houlihans! I really appreciate it. How far are they allowed to travel on Liberty? I sure don't wanna get any IT!
