I want to thank all of you for being there and providing so much support through these last 7 weeks. PIR is less than 7 days away - can't believe we are almost there.
You know I have learned a lot about my abilities to be a parent of a Sailor and learning when to share and what to keep to myself for his protection. But there are two things I am busting to tell you now that BS21 is over and he is a Sailor.
Not only is my son RCPO for his unit (and one of the youngest in his group), but he was also named as their Honor Graduate. I am so PROUD that I am busting at the seams. I didn't want to say anything before because that would be like putting a target on him - not hard to identify him/me if I am blasting it in the headlines here - lol
This site and the info here helped me understand that responsibility that he has carried these last weeks and what an honor and privilege it is to have those bestowed on him.
So thanks for being here for all of us and letting me share my joy and pride today!
Kimstn
Good Morning everyone :-) I wanted to share something with all of you. I am so happy to have this site to turn to for answers to any question I have about what my Sailor is doing or what is in store for her in the future. This site has been a God send for me. I have enjoyed being a part of so many PIR groups and getting to know all of you a little bit and some of you very well. I have made so many lifelong friends here that I now can't imagine life without. You are all a blessing to me. When we were in VA a couple weeks ago visiting our Sailor we went to the big NEX several times. It is much like a mall and filled with Sailors lol. You know I had to restrain myself from going up and talking to everyone of them and asking if their mom was a member of this site. Especially those who looked so young and you could tell they were still "pretty new" to this adventure. I wanted to hug each one of them and tell them how much we all care about and appreciate them. I am sure you all will feel the same way and will find yourself walking up to someone in uniform and thanking them for their service to our country.
{{{{{ HUGS }}}}}} to all of you, my N4M friends :-)
Congratulations to all the new sailors and their families. It was so great to hear from my son today.
Congrats to the new sailors! All of this PIR group will have a blast tomorrow in Captains Cup. They do it in the morning. Hopefully some will get calls home tomorrow to let you know the winners. With RTC FB not posting on weekends nor allowing posts on weekends, you won't find out there until next week.
Have a good weekend, everyone!
Congrats to all the new Sailors and of course to you, their families. Less than one week and you will be hugging your Sailors :-)
Captains Cup tomorrow...Good Luck to all the Divisions!
Here is a link that talks a litlte bit about CC:
Congratulations to Divisions 145/146...the US Navy's newest Sailors! Hooyah!
Congrats to 145/146! They did great!
