Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

A quick note here: Last Names of Recruits/Sailors are not allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Comment by KikiOtter on May 10, 2012 at 12:27am: Yep! Me and and the in-laws and the kiddo! :) Also know that Joann on here is staying there as well with her parents and I think her MIL. Kiddo and I should get there between 5 and 6pm central time.

The kid & I are leaving right after he is out of school, and then the in-laws to follow soon as they're off work tomorrow. So excited, yet nervous at the same time! Excited to see my sailor and all the happy people! Yet nervous 'cause these are all people I don't know or have only talked with online. lol Looking forward to Sarges M&G tomorrow night regardless! See you guys soon! X-D

It would have been much harder to get through this without the support of people who knew what i was going through . Looking foward tk meeting all of you TOMORROW!!!! Its really tomorrow ...wow .

Also to add to that (since I keep forgetting!):

The Weather Widget is interactive.

If you hold your cursor over the top bar:

To the far left is the LIVE tab.This shows the current weather. If you go to another day or time and want to return to the current weather just click LIVE.

The tab next to it is the time you are at.

Next to that is the date. Click the arrows to advance or retreat OR click on it and you will get a Calendar and can click on any date.

The rest of the top bar is the current day. The little green marker is what the current time is. Slide your cursor across to go to any time of the day

The weather will change in the Picture accordingly. The Big Square box on the right with the written details will change also.

Just under the top bar to the left are the next four days of the week...click on those to look at them...click on the arrow to extend...it will add two more days.

All the little balloons, birds, planes, falling stars etc. are added features I believe. But when it is windy or cloudy...those reflect the true weather conditions.
