Congrats, Betsy, on your new home! YAH!
Smile09: FTLW is really good about checking that link that Betsy posted and as soon as the divisions are posted there, she gets them on this page. Normally they are posted by now...delayed this week. Probably because of the anti-terrorism drill last week???
Good Morning Lala. Have fun subbing today.
I will be back on here later today. We just bought a new house and we have the inspector coming this morning.
Betsy, you know that I never mind at all when any of you on our N4Moms veteran team answer questions! That is what we are here for! Thanks! :-)
Good morning everyone, I hope you all are ready for the weekend. I am subbing in HS Art today. I will have my step-daughter as a student lol. I am taking my work with me lol. I love subbing in high school art. They don't care if you are crafty and making beautiful things for beautiful people :-)
Smile09, I'm sure that Dianne won't mind if I answer your question. The RTC website posts all the dates of the graduations. I'm sure, as Dianne stated, your's will be posted soon.
Yea! I received my first real letter today! It's amazing. Reading it, I could almost hear her voice speaking to me. She said things are going pretty well... except a few health issues... let's see, her eyes have gotten worse, she is anemic so they are giving her supplements and vitamins and making her eat more meat..., she had a fever for 3 days and was SIQ (sick in quarters) for 1 day, was dehydrated and had to have 2 IVs - then was allergic to the adhesive on the tape and has a cream for that! But other than that - things are fine! When a mom is reading all that, she is thankful she didn't know about it until it was over!
Let's see, the food is amazing (coming from someone who is super picky) and they aren't allowed to eat the desserts... Except for her - she locked her knees and got faint. They thought she had low blood sugar so they gave her a cookie. Geez... Thank goodness all is well now, or I would be worried they'd send her home. Other than the initial health issues, she sounded great, and she said she is adjusting pretty well. She doesn't have a watch, so the hardest part is not having her phone to know the time. They started with 107 recruits - they are now down to 85.
She said their chief is a 5'1" clone of Regina King on Miss Congeniality 2. Her closing line - "well, I need to go shine my boots now!" I had prepared myself not to receive a letter for awhile, so this was a fabulous day!
No real letters from my daughter yet :( I am waiting for one to come and I am putting a letter every day in the mail box for her. I picked up a "I miss you" card to fill out and mail tomrrow morning. Good information about the tickets! We are still trying to decide if we are going to drive or fly from Texas.
