For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

When your sailors reach A School, don't forget to send them phone piks of the dogs! I do that occasionally...just a "shot of the day" and my sailor gets a kick out of it! I know he misses our 2 dogs...he walked them sometimes and bathed them. One slept in his room.

Invisible - My daughter left on the 7th/8th and I didn't get my form letter until the 22nd. A whole 14 days. Felt like forever, but it will finally come.

Jennifer - that's awesome that he was able to write so much. I really hope my son writes something when I finally get my form letter. I'm on day 9 and no letter yet!

My cat lays on my son's bed all the time. If I shut the door, he'll stay there all day trying to open it. He misses him soooo much.

My son's dog layed at his door everynight waiting for him to come home. I had to step over her to get to the bathroom.

I know you're proud and your Grandpa is too!! :D We're proud of our 'boys'...lol.So far, I've been dealing okay with this until I just walked by his ROTC picture....wow did the tears start flowing!! I can still hear him saying "it's just 8 weeks" He's always such a joy around the house, always joking and keeping everyone laughing. BUT......one week down, and counting! ;)
