Hi Everyone! I just wanted to pop in and say Merry Christmas to everyone. I hope you are all doing well this first holiday season since our Sailors signed up. My daughter and I took some holiday pictures by our Christmas tree today. I thought I'd share them with you guys. I play Mrs.Claus at local hospitals and for kids. Today I was at the Veteran's hospital. It was so moving for me to go deliver gifts to Veterans.
My sailor is feeling alittle more at home in Virginia Beach. He had a special treat this past week. The WWE wrestlers did a Support the troops special that will air on December 19th on USA channel. He's in a picture with his fellow MA's and the wrestlers on the WWE's facebook page. I have a celebrity now.
I sent him a package through the snail mail and never got to him. I'm hoping that it's at his base somewhere and will finally get to him. Prayers that it does it had some of his xbox games and alot of cup of soup he requested. And a very special card his little sister sent him.
I hope all is well with everyone. Have a happy and safe Holiday. Sending lots of love and hugs.
Hello everyone,
It's been a while since I've been on here, Glad to hear that everyone is doing well and that their sailor is doing well.
Wishing you all a wonderful Holiday and God Bless you and your sailor.
Hey fellow NavyMomsters! - I've really enjoyed reading all your posts. Thought I'd get on here & send an update:
My son has been attending A School in Virginia Beach & will graduate in March. He is finally in his element. He's thriving & really growing up. He didn't come home for Thanksgiving, but will be home for Christmas. We're planning an open house & he'll have a lot of time to spend with friends.
It breaks my heart to read on other blogs how some sailors are struggling. The Navy has been a true blessing in our lives. I really don't know what my son would have done without this amazing opportunity.
I have come across 2 other families locally who are in the Navy too, so we've stayed connected. That's really cool!
I must admit, I do miss the 100+ emails each day from this group:), but life has a way to keep us busy, doesn't it?... - Love Y'all! & Merry Christmas!
My son will be heading to San Diego this upcoming week. He will be coming home for Christmas, then to head back and then ship out to the middle east. I am not looking forward to him leaving after the holiday and hope I can keep it together at least until he leaves. My heart is always with him as well as my prayers, that is my only gift to him that I feel will best help him. Hope all of you are doing well and your sailors too, Blessings!
Well, I've been absent for a long time too, but I needed my Navy Moms this morning. Like many of us, it's my first holiday without my son home. I'm really missing him today! I don't even feel like cooking. I have to keep a happy face for my daughter. She's suffering too.
Well, I had to get that off my chest to a group of moms who will understand. I hope everyone has a blessed Thanksgiving, and at least gets some telephone or Skype time with their sailors. :)
Hello everyone!! It's been a while since I've been on here. Have been busy with grandchildren, part time work, and church activities. I read some of the posts but really never have enough time to respond, I fall asleep at the computer, lolol!! My son will be home for christmas and then off to San Diego after his return, having a difficult time already, knowing I will have to say good bye yet again. He has done so well and am so very proud, just as I know all of you are too for your Sailor. Thank you all for the support and sharing that takes place here, it really is a life saver and wishing you all a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
My daughter will be graduating Dec.3rd and is headed to duty station NAS Oceana any one else going there? She doesn't have all the details and isn't sure when she gets leave.
I'm having a harder time letting go of my MA2. He's been on leave for 10 days and go to his duty station in Virginia on Thanksgiving. I want to hide how sad I am because I don't want to add any stress to him. He's really nervous about making a mistake.I really could use a TazNAVYan group hug. Thank you
