The Word

Hello all,

Well this week has brought with it a bunch of great news!

1) I graduated Tuesday with my Associate's in Business Administration,

and, the BEST news,

2) We got word that my fiance gets to stay in GC! There was a chance he would have to go to NY, but he gets to stay!

So, this weekend, we're going apartment hunting. I'm so excited, I can't explain it. Although, I do have some questions.

Got the box.

The box came today it wasn't as bad as I had imagined. I feel some relief knowing he made it ok and getting a piece of him back. I miss him alot but can't wait to see him in that uniform I know how much he wants this and that makes it easier. I appreciate each and every comment I have received from my fellow Navy Mom's. What a wonderful thing the internet can be. Can't wait for the letter.

I got my phone call on Monday!!!

It's been a busy week, I got my phone call on the way home from work... lol I almost missed it with the radio blaring.  Glad I turned it down.

First thing she said was she was sorry she didn't call me on Saturday... LOL she misses the boyfriend.  We got 15 minutes of laughing and catching up done.

She has a job LPO (laundry) lol she did that at home too....  She says she is happy she made this decision (so relieved on my end to hear this).  I forgot half of my questions while…

I am trying really really hard not to cry but its tough..the past couple days we have been together I would randomly tear up and i feel bad because he asks me to please stop for him and says it doesnt help. We've been together for almost two years. The longest we have spent time apart from eachother is a week and a half. I am so happy and excited for… Continue

Daughter a few weeks out for boot camp.

Well, looks like our daughter finally made it into the USN.  In 2009 she signed into the DEP program (sr. in high school) and was heading in as an OS.  She decided 4 short months later she didn't want to be in the Navy and got out of the DEP program.  Several months went by and when she graduated high school she signed up for college but found out quickly that her heart just wasn't into it.  She started talking to her recruiter and got her weight back to where she…

Sworn In

I just arrived home from Hap's swearing in ceremony.  I'm proud and sad and I miss him already.  He didn't get to ship out today because of the weather so he is staying in a hotel tonight until they find out if he can leave tomorrow.  He is excited and nervous but already making friends.  I have lots of questions and he can't answer them...so I'm searching the site for answers.  Thanks so much other moms for all your help.  I want a Navy for Moms Tshirt to wear when I have surgery next… Continue

One month down... It feels like forever!

It has been just over a month since my husband left for his deployment. The holidays were tough, to say the least. I got A email on christmas that said just that "merry christmas" and nothing on new years :( I have gotten to talk to him more than I originally had thought I was going to be able to. I get emails just about every day and I am sooooo so thankful for that. This month, if I take it day by day, has been the longest month of my life!!! Each day seems to drag and not being able to…

The Third Day

Hello to all of the Navy Moms/Wives/Signifant Others. I am on the third day of the first week of my husbands absense. He is attending OCS for 12 weeks. I have not received the 24-48 hour arrival call. He is supposed to be allowed the arrival call and then is not allowed phone privileges until the fourth week and that is only if his class receives them. They took away his cell phone which I am pretty upset about. We just purchased the iPhone 4 with the FaceTime app. We were really looking…

The best 15 min of my life!

So no phone call yesterday…. pretty much ruined my day! Today even though I didn’t really want to I got up and went to church. It was nice. After church we had lunch, and I left to go to walmart… I had to get vinegar and baking soda to clean my VERY burnt pan!

I was wondering around just looking at stuff and my phone rang…. ILLINOIS!!!!! “Hello!! TIM??” When I heard him say “Hi Hun, its me! I’ve got 15 min” I burst…

Time goes by so fast, then he'll be gone.

My boyfriend leaves for Basic Training in less than two months and I guess I've just been having a hard time trying to deal with it. I feel like I'm driving him crazy because I want to be with him all the time. I find myself getting upset when he wants to go hang out with friends and I feel so selfish for it. I guess I'm just scared of him leaving and I know it's coming. Time goes by so fast and then he'll be gone. I guess I just want to spend every moment I have left with him together.… Continue
