My daughter is currently at Ship 6 for rehab and will have bone scan tomorrow to see if she will need surgery on her femur. She is there for injury sustained during BC (stress fracture to neck of femur and possible damage to the shaft of the femur.

Does any one know what happens if she gets discharged from BC as a recruit? Will Nave take care of her while she is recouperating or will they send her home having to take care of rehab herself financially?

Any info would be most… Continue

the pain

day after day, week after week, month after month.

feel the pain.

the pain of wondering if I will ever get another letter, a phone call, or even a hug, a kiss.

no I may not be some proud Navy wife, or Navy mom, but I am a Navy girlfiend.

my pain is just the same, and maybe I feel more.

I will always be sitting at home cheering him on.

helping him when he ask, and doing as he says, because I love him.

even as I write this and think about it I…

My Sailor's orders were changed,

After three years in reserve's my son received orders to report for active duty. He was the only one out of his unit that mobilized. When he reported to his first destination he found out his orders had been changed. Instead of going to NJ he is at Fort Bliss. Does this mean he will be going to Iraq? If anyone knows I would sure appreciate any information. I am having a terrible time with this. Thanks so much.

And I am super excited and nervous for him and me, but most of all I have so many questions as to how many family members they allow to attend his graduation? If any of you would please help and advise me on what to expect when my son leaves and how graduation will be:)

Thank You!!!

I am glad to have this website to talk to other military families with loved ones in Japan...
