I was playing around on the Recruit Training Center Facebook Page today and found that on the sidebar there is a Discussion tab.... lots and lots of people who may not know anything about N4M site. Kind of sad that there were 2 full on discussions for each Division, one N4M and one RTC..... anyway, I hope some of them will find their way to our site. For the ones I left messages for, here is the 11/4 PIR group

Well, I guess there's no denying the fact that he is actually leaving anymore... We had his going away party this past weekend and it was AWESOME to see so many people that we know and love there supporting him full-heartedly in his future endeavors.
So now we can check "have going away party" off of our to-do list before he leaves, along with "get pictures taken" and "take care of financial matters". Now if only he would work on "lose weight", we'd be golden. I'm worried that he will…

Sitting here after the dinner we just had with friends and family, i realize that sometimes it may seem like so much work having to deal with all the emotions caused by my sailors choice to join the navy but it is all worth it in the end. hearing the words "im gonna miss you more" come out of his mouth makes everything feel right. knowing how hard it must be for him to leave his life and everything he's ever known makes me feel sad that i never thought of it first and asked him how he was…

Welcome everyone to the N4M group "Los Angeles Region". Yea, we have 22 members so far, and we haven't even been up for a week. It will be great fun to have the meet & greet in January.

Darling daughter leaves for GL three months from today. A long time, yet such a very short time. She is chomping at the bit to get there. Another holiday season in retail is just about driving her nutty -- and it is just beginning! I think knowing that as soon as it is over she starts a new journey makes it just that much more difficult. She will get through it without any problems, though. She is…

I am living in a whole new world with my son being gone to bootcamp. He is such an energy and fills a room when he is in it that now that he is gone the house feels so empty. My husband is a very quite man and I find myself looking at him and waiting for Charlie's voice to come out of his mouth :-).Even though I enjoy being just me again after 18 years, I do miss being mom and all that meant. I know that my son is at the right place right now, but I just miss hearing his voice. I check the…
ContinueMy SR is currently at RTC. I'm so proud of her decision to join the Navy, it's hard to put into words. What's even more difficult to express is the shock when I found out she was even interested. My SR is the middle of three children. She has a big sister and a little brother. She always felt as if her siblings were loved more than she was, even though that couldn't be further from the truth. When she was a toddler, her peditrician actually diagnosed her with "Middle Child Syndrome." …

My time on the soapbox.
Every-time I hear the Navy say "Drug abuse puts lives and missions at risk and undercuts unit readiness and morale" it just ticks me off. Either get with the program, or not. Don't send mixed messages....
I know the Navy, and I know it well... I love talking about the Navy, and helping those that don't…

YAY!!! My daughter is alive and well! Receiving a 12 page letter does a momma's heart good! So I guess Wednesday is going to be my "letter"day. I have something to look forward to each week! She sounds good and being challenged but in a good way. My husband and I went grocery shopping and then stopped at the mailbox on the way home. I then read him the entire letter before we went inside. It made my night :)
