For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

I am very worried about the radiation that was detected on the USS GW!!!! Isnt this ship over 200 miles away from the reactors? My son is suposed to be leaving for Japan very soon. My son will be completing basic training soon and then going to A school before becoming assigned to a ship. I believe he can have a cell phone during A school and I send him his current cell phone following graduation. (for now his phone is on my plan.)

Well my daughter left on 03/06/11 and she made her one call once she got to the base. It was so said because she said she was ok but she would not be able to talk to me for 3 weeks. We talk everyday and she tells me everything. I got her bo yesterday and she put a note telling me she loves me. If you could have heard her she sounded as lost as i am . One week down 2 more to go. Please tell me this gets easier.
